Oh, one more for tonight! This is at the junction of the roads we just saw. Don't you love the names? I love "Alarm Forest". This was named after where they sent horsemen to parts of the island if they saw approaching ships ("alarums")! The Briars was a private home where Napoleon spent his first time on St Helena. The English family who owned Briars liked him and the young girl later grew up and wrote kindly of him.
